To the editor:
This matter I am going to write about is mainly for senior citizens, but it is also available to any age person who wishes to delve into some concerning situations we face in our society today. My wife wants me to write something uplifting and I have agreed to do it after presenting certain factors.
First, the way things are currently progressing, it is difficult to find things that are in fact uplifting. For example, here is a short list of what is problematic in our society today. In any form of media you select to pursue, you will get a daily dose of the latest murders, the latest alphabet letter added to the L list, the latest school systems teaching CRT, and Gender confusion among our youngsters, along with how much prices have gone up at the grocery store and at the gas stations. I could go on, but that is enough for anyone to digest at one sitting.
Now, I will attempt to pass on something uplifting to get your mind off these unfortunate situations we are facing in today’s society. I recently had a good high school buddy pass on to his reward. He was a good man who loved God, his family and his country. Let me mention that he dearly loved the traditional way of life with its values that have brought us success for thousands of years. He was strong enough not to let the worries of this country affect his happiness.
How did he do that? Well, he realized that there are some things you can control and there are some things you cannot control. The thing you can control, he did so as long as they were right in his mind to do. The other things that were a problem and that he could not control, he let them fly away without his worrying about them.
Now, these are my uplifting thoughts. When you get right down to it, life is about God, family, and friends. If you can get a good handle on living and understand the meaning of those things mentioned immediately above, you will go out a winner. In a pinch, those are the ones that will come to your rescue. They are also the things that give the most joy in life.
It is not as easy as it sounds to find peace. But, if you practice the examples above, it sure gives you a better chance of experiencing a “Wonderful Life”.
