There’s no accountability
To the editor:
I was watching various channels looking for the World Series score the other day, but what got my undivided attention is the Attorney General’s questions/answers televised in D.C. This was regarding the use of the FBI at the Loudoun County School Board meetings to protect members from “terrorist” parents who have invaded the board’s meetings. Answers like: “They will be arrested and tried as terrorists if their behavior continues to be disruptive.”
How have we come to the point where parents are not even allowed to express their opinions in any school board meeting? Our taxpayer dollars are funding our local schools. Just check your county property tax bill this year. On my bill, schools are the major expense in our county. And school board members are telling parents they will not be allowed input on school curriculum?
I watched once again the video of the man coming forward to report his daughter’s rape and sodomy in May of this year. The horror of what she must have experienced made me cringe. I think his problem with the board happened when he said nothing had been done ... no apologies ... no investigation.
And, in fact, the boy who is responsible had been quietly sent to another school. You guessed it – he raped another girl in the bathroom at his new school. All this was quietly put under the table so parents would not know anything. There was even testimony from the Democrat side of the aisle that the boy and his victim had enjoyed a long relationship, and sex was a common event. Now I am beginning to understand just how low the Democrats will crawl to have their way.
And then we have the problem with the two million illegals coming across our border that are being shipped all over our country, but no one will tell you exactly where. I think it is time for our Democratic Party to take a long look at itself and make major changes, or they simply need to get out of the way. They are doing nothing to help us keep our country strong, and everything possible to make us look stupid and inept. Come to think of it, that describes Joe Biden perfectly!

The wag of happiness is gone
To the editor:
Our family would like to take the time to thank the residents of Virginia Estates for all their warm and heartfelt condolences upon the passing of the “neighborhood” dog, Bandit.
For 17 years, the spotted hound Bandit roamed the neighborhood looking for treats, handouts and belly rubs. Other times, he would stand in the road waiting for somebody to drive by and talk to him. He was the sweetest, kindest, gentlest, most humble dog one could imagine. He was without an iota of meanness in his body. All he wanted was to be petted.
We did not officially own Bandit for most of his life, but when we did take full possession and responsibility for him in 2017, he was 13 years old. Little did we know how much he would affect our lives. We grew older together. Over time, he became completely deaf, half blind and quite arthritic, but he never lost his bright spirit.
Sadly, his ailments eventually restricted him to almost never leaving much past the driveway. But his nose remained remarkably gifted when smelling the deer and foxes in the backyard.
We want to especially thank all the car drivers who either stopped to talk to Bandit or went around him when he would stand there stupidly in the road, wagging his tail and not moving. Through all the years, he was never hurt by anyone and for this we are most grateful.
In today’s world where seemingly all words and actions are infused with anger and divisiveness, Bandit was a living example of that virtue called gratitude that the Lord expects of us all. But try as we might, we fall woefully short. Bandit never failed in this regard. So with respect to his memory and in honor of the happiness everyone brought to this sweet dog, we want to simply express our gratitude by thanking the Virginia Estate neighborhood very much for having Bandit as a small part of their lives and allowing him to become a major part of ours.

Friendship is important
To the editor:
One needs friendship with the ups and downs of life and the many dramas that happen.
Friendship is someone who will stand by you through thick or thin, who will always look for the truth in a friendship and the best in it.
God’s people will have love for one another. These people are truly God’s people. This is proof that this organization is God’s people.

Are there mistakes in the Holy Bible?
To the editor:
You better believe that there are and many of them, now before you quit reading and turn the page, hear me out! All of the mistakes in the Bible were made by mankind, I hate to use that term (mankind) because some people think that refers to us men, but let me point out that as a noun it refers to the human race that is all of us.
Now to point out the first mistake in the Bible was made by a woman and her name was Eve, the second was made by Adam. They both ate the forbidden fruit that God told them not to and changed our way of life to this day. But that is only the beginning of mistakes. How about all of the people of the days of Noah?
When discussing Noah and his Ark most people focus on all of the animals entering two by two. I believe God’s focus was on the people that God closed the door on. Let’s look at Sodom and Gomorrah, God had two Angels come to Sodom to destroy the two cities and only found four people out of the two cities to save and one of the four (Lot’s wife) didn’t make it and the two daughters also failed to please God.
Now let’s take a look at the one I believe everyone in the world has heard about, King David & Bathsheba. Now if you know the story you know King David impregnated Bathsheba and had Bathsheba’s husband killed in a war. One thing about this story I find ironic is Bathsheba’s name. Look at the first part of her name, “BATH,” I wonder if her evening bathing had not taken place their story would be completely different.
When you read and look at the contents of the bible we see a lot of mistakes pointed out, now ask yourself why. Well we all should know and agree that we are to learn from our mistakes, but are we?
Look at America today and you will see all of the same mistakes that we see in the Bible taking place, not only in America, but the whole world. With that in mind is the warring in the book of Revelation taking place, the days of Noah, will God shut another door, The Door Of Heaven?
