Hart County dominates 51-3 against Raiders

By Landen Todd

The Raiders were stunned 51-3 against Hart County at Herndon Stadium tonight.

The Bulldogs poured on 44 points in the first half alone.

The Raiders looked out of character from the scrimmages with not being able to connect on passes, having turnovers, missed tackles, and self-inflicted penalties.

Hart County senior running back Xavier Allen looked strong, punching in three touchdowns against Habersham Central on the night.

In the second quarter, Habersham Central was in the red zone, but a personal foul and a delay of the game, and a false start left them at midfield to punt it on fourth down.

The Bulldogs took advantage and returned the punt for a touchdown to go up 23-0.

Running clock was declared in the second half.

Habersham Central kicker Kieran Wallace made a field goal to break the shutout with 8:21 left in the fourth quarter to make it 51-3.

Habersham Central (0-1) hopes to bounce back in its home opener against Stephens County at Raider Stadium on Friday, Aug. 28.
