A new apartment complex is coming into Habersham County on Old Highway 441 in Demorest. Under the business name “Demorest Z, LLC,” the new apartments will help to provide housing for Habersham County residents at Villas at Old 441.
The new apartments will have 138 units and be multi-family. The complex will offer apartments that are one bed, one bathroom; two bedroom, two bathroom and three bedroom, two bathroom.
With 302 total bedrooms and 252 total bathrooms, the six three-story buildings are expected to accept applications starting in February and starting the signing of leases in March.
Although construction will be completed at the beginning of summer, Omar Zavala, the owner and developer, is looking forward to tenants moving in during the month of June.
Amenities will include a pool, fitness center, business center, dog park and clubhouse.
“Stainless steel appliances, modern features, backsplash, granite countertops and balconies,” Zavala said, noting all would be included for every apartment.
Zavala, originally from Mexico, is normally looking to remodel apartments instead of develop but has recently ventured towards development with this new complex and a new set of townhomes in Clayton.
Attending Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School growing up, Zavala now calls Rabun Gap home while being a part of the school’s trustees.
Zavala said there will be information posted at the property in the coming weeks to give more information about how to apply for a unit.
