Men’s Bible Study in Clarkesville
Clarkesville Baptist Church men’s Bible Study will be held twice monthly from noon to 1 p.m. in the Family Life Center. On June 14 and June 28, the program will continue studying “The Mulligan,” The Parable of a Second Chance. All are invited.

Love Family Reunion set
The 10th annual Love Family Reunion is scheduled for Saturday, June 18, at the Ebenezer United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Clarkesville. The event begins at 11 a.m. is open to all Love’s and especially those in the northeast and northwest areas of Georgia. Most of these Loves are descended from the same family, having migrated from Western N.C. to Northeast Georgia in the early 19th century. Food drive in Mt. Airy
There will be a Car Meet & Food Drive on Saturday, June 18, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 487 Dicks Hill Parkway, in Mt. Airy. Come out and donate to the food drive. Theater camp coming this summer
Habersham Community Theater will hold a two-week day camp for children ages 6-12 on July 18-22 and 25-29 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with auditions on July 16 at 12:30 p.m. Children will learn all about theater and what it takes to put on a great show as they prepare “Honk! Jr.” for audiences at the close of camp. Adapted for young performers, “Honk! Jr.” is the story of the ugly duckling, a heartwarming celebration of being different that will delight all ages with its wit, unique charm, and memorable music. Clarkesville Sip & Stroll
The next Sip & Stroll is Friday, July 1, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. in the Downtown Clarkesville entertainment district. This recurring event will take place on the first Friday of every month through October. Participating businesses will have extended business hours/drink specials, there will be live entertainment.
Band camp for middle schoolers
The 6th Annual Habersham Area Middle School Band Camp will be a day camp for Northeast Georgia rising 7th and 8th grade band students on July 18-20 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on July 21 from 9 a.m. to noon at First United Methodist Church (1087 Washington St.) in Clarkesville. Music instruction, recreational activities, band rehearsals, and small ensemble rehearsals will be held throughout the day on Monday through Wednesday, July 18-20. Lunch and snacks will be provided each day for campers. A camp concert will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 21, for parents and the general public in the church fellowship hall with a lunch for everyone following the concert. The cost for the camp is $50 which includes music instruction, a camp t-shirt, lunch, and snacks. All rising 7th and 8th grade band students are welcome. GriefShare is for people grieving the death of a family member or friend. Northeast Georgia CASA seeking volunteers
Northeast Georgia CASA is seeking volunteers to become trained Court Appointed Special Advocates for children. Children in foster care that have a CASA are more likely to succeed in school, receive more services, and are less likely to return to foster care. CASA’s help children get into a permanent home more quickly. There are 293 children in northeast Georgia that still need a CASA.
