Church donates to sharing and caring

The Demorest Methodist Congregational Federated Church continues its quarterly campaigns to raise and distribute funds to local charities. The first quarter in 2022 is dedicated to Sharing and Caring. Recently, Rev. Joyce Acree (right) and Treasurer Alta Moseley (left) met with Phil Healy, President of The Sharing and Caring Place, to present his organization with a check for $1,000 in support of their outreach in our county. Sharing and Caring has long been known as a charity who helps people with bills, food and clothing when they are in need. They also operate two successful Thrift Stores, one in Clarkesville and one in Cornelia, where people can buy clothing, home goods, etc., for reasonable prices.
