Community Evening of Worship for Women
Women’s Small Groups of Bethlehem Baptist Church presents a ‘Community Evening of Worship for Women.’ It is a night for all women to come together to give God praise, and it will be held at Bethlehem Baptist Church on Friday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. There is no charge for admission and childcare is available.
Farm Bureau holding contests for youths
Habersham County Farm Bureau is hosting a Middle School Bookmark Contest to replace the traditional essay contest that has been in the past.
The bookmark contest still has a writing component, requiring students to share why agriculture is important. The contest is open to all sixth, seventh and eighth grade students in Georgia. The district winner will receive a $100 prize and the state winner a $150 prize. All entries must be received at the Habersham County Farm Bureau office by Friday, Feb. 25.

Love By him Girls Choir from Haiti worship service
The “Love By Him Girls Choir from Haiti” will be leading the 10:30 a.m. worship service at Clarkesville Baptist Church on Sunday, Feb. 27. These children are a miracle, who were saved out of the rubble of the earthquake and they will be singing in 5 different languages. All are invited to come and share in this worship experience and learn about this mission work in Haiti.
Friendly Mission Baptist Church revival
There will be a revival from Feb. 27 to March 2 at Friendly Mission Baptist church, located 154 Friendly Mission Lane in Cornelia. The event will start at 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27, and at 7 p.m. the next three nights. The revival will include the singing of The Cantrells, Brian Burchfield and Chris and Lacey Nations, along with preaching from Cody Cantrell, Chris Nations and Burchfield.
Old Nacoochee Baptist Church singing
Old Nacoochee Baptist Church will host a singing with The Mitchells at 11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 27. All are welcome at the church at 487 Hub Tatum Road off Highway Alternate 22 in Sautee.
Herschel Walker to speak at Futures for Kids
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier will host a Futures For Kids Campaign Kickoff event on March 8 at Habersham Central High School with keynote speaker Herschel Walker as he discusses his journey of growth and overcoming obstacles as a 3x All-American Athlete. Clarkesville Baptist Church Ladies Bible Study
The Clarkesville Baptist Church Ladies Bible Study will meet in the Family Life Center on Mondays from 1-3 p.m. March 7 through April 11. The study will be on the book “He Chose the Nails” by Max Lucado. Books are available in the church office. Call 706-754-2643 to sign up. Cost of the book is $16. All ladies are invited.

Food pantry for those in need is open Thursdays, 1-4 p.m. at Cornelia United Methodist Church. Limited supplies available.
GriefShare meets every Wednesday
GriefShare is for people grieving the death of a family member or friend. The leadership team for GriefShare consists of people who understand how you feel and have a real concern for individuals experiencing the grief of loss. GriefShare leaders have experienced significant losses in their lives and are examples of the healing and restoration that can occur as an outgrowth of deep grief. Clarkesville First United Methodist Church meets every Wednesday at 6 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
Foothills Photography Group monthly meeting
Foothills Photography Group, a club for photographers of all levels will meet at 6:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of every month at the Visual Arts Building, North Georgia Technical College, Clarkesville Campus.
