Les bontemps roulent after two-year hiatus

Clarkesville Main Street hosted Mardi Gras at the Habersham Event Center on Saturday night. The evening was full of dining, drinking and merrymaking while raising funds for the city’s facade and sign grant programs and other projects. Attendees were treated to a first-class meal before getting a chance to dance the night away. Whoever found the baby in their king cake, following Mardi Gras tradition, was crowned king and queen. This year’s winners were Jeremy and Tracy Brooks (second photo). “The event was a huge success,” Main Street Director Trudy Crunkleton said. “It is great to see the community come together for a worthy cause and have fun at the same time.”
