‘The good Lord guided him’ - Mt. Airy man saves his mother’s life

It started in 2015, when Judy Wells suffered a violent and unexpected seizure for the first time. She went to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, where she was prescribed regular preventative seizure medication. Three weeks later, Judy felt numbness in her legs and she returned to the hospital.

Summer spikes at TFS

Habersham County sent two teams to the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association (GRPA) District 7 Tournament last weekend and walked away with third and fourth-place finishes.

Student, teacher went on their educational journey together

Starting pre-k at Baldwin Elementary School as a first-generation student of Mexican background in 2004 meant that, unlike other students, Maricruz Flores couldn’t rely on family members to guide her through the American school system.
