A celebration of life service for Nancy Lynn Burrell Green, 64, of Demorest, was held Sunday, Jan. 3, at Level Grove Cemetery with Pastor Tim Tanner, the Rev. Mickey Umbehant, and Pastor Mike Franklin officiating.
Mrs. Green was welcomed into the arms of Jesus Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2020.
Born Aug. 15, 1956, in Habersham County, she was a daughter of Leonard "Roscoe" Burrell of Cornelia, and the late Mary Helen James Burrell.
Ms. Nancy loved the Lord and spent her life spreading his love to others through singing, doing for others and her contagious smile. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Nancy worked as a cashier at Wal-Mart and enjoyed the many people she met and talked with daily. She loved her family especially her daddy, her church and her friends.
Surviving are her husband of 44 years, Phillip Green of Demorest; sons and daughters-in-law, Christopher and Pamela Green of Mt. Airy, and Joshua and Amanda Green of Commerce; grandchildren, Keller Green and Kadyn Green; and her four fur babies; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jane and Joe Gulley of Cornelia, and Judy and Max Chosewood of Gainesville; brothers and sister-in-law, Wendell and Deb Burrell of Cornelia, and Keith Burrell of Cornelia; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
