A private family graveside service for Patricia Payne Hill, 69, of Cornelia, will be held at Yonah Memorial Gardens with Pastor Mike Franklin officiating.
Mrs. Hill passed away Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020, after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis.
Born July 5, 1951, in Habersham County, she was a daughter of the late Rev. John D. and Mildred Cook Payne.
Mrs. Hill was a 1969 graduate of South Habersham High School. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and most of all, a devoted prayer warrior and caregiver to many of her family and friends. She gave of her time, ministering to expecting mothers at Sussex Pregnancy Care Center in Georgetown, Delaware, where she resided for 33 years before returning to Cornelia in 2008.
Survivors include her loving husband, Roy Lee Hill of Cornelia; daughters and sons-in-law, Ginger and Richard McGinnis of Celina, Texas, Joni and Merrill Mitchell of Millsboro, Delaware, and Sonya and Brian Frable of Ocean View, Delaware; grandchildren, Justin Lowe of Georgetown, Delaware, Cameron McGinnis of Celina, Texas, Lanee Mitchell of Millsboro, Delaware, Victoria McGinnis of Celina, Texas and Ryker Frable of Ocean View, Delaware; sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Ray Campbell of Cornelia; sister-in-law and husband, Diane and David Stover; and brother-in-law and wife, Frank and Dot Hill, all of Mt. Airy; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Those in attendance are asked to adhere to social distancing and public health guidelines regarding COVID-19.
