Wayne served his country proudly in the United States Army as a military police officer during the Vietnam War Era. He was an entrepreneur of many business ventures over the years including WayneCo. Wayne enjoyed mentoring young people throughout the years, the Coffee Club at the Cornelia McDonald's, trips to the beach, serving as an auctioneer and spending time with his grandchildren. Most of all, he loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In his last years of ministry, Wayne, with his servant's heart, spent time encouraging the staff and residents of Habersham Home East.

Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Janice Elaine Adams Conley of Cornelia; daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Rex Gallups of Alpharetta, Kathy Conley Nicholson of Cleveland, and Jenny and Chris Blalock of Demorest; son and daughter-in-law, the Rev.
