Tonight, our varsity Raider football team will line up on the gridiron to face off against the Stephens County Indians. Everyone knows, this is a legendary battle. This year our Raiders kickoff the season against the Indians under the bright lights of Larry Black Field in Mt. Airy.
Habersham County we need to show up in force to support our team!
Yes, this game is important to our Raiders and Habersham County. However, it also signals the time of year when everyone returns from summer vacations and focuses on our community. There is nothing like hearing the Band of Blue to lift your hometown spirit. And reconnecting with friends and old classmates with the smell of popcorn in the air is quite magical.
Coach Harrison, Habersham County is behind you, your coaching staff and players. We are pulling for you this season and are excited to see our Raiders charge the field Friday night.
Raiders, this is your only shot. There will never be another first game of 2023. Let’s burn the ship and get after it with all you’ve got and then some. Habersham County would rather whip Stephens County than eat when we are hungry.
