Today is officially the first day of fall. And in Cornelia fall means it’s time for the Big Red Apple Festival. Now in its 34th year, the Big Red Apple Festival offers something for everyone.
From live entertainment to hayrides and a classic car show to a tour of the train museum, Cornelia is rolling out the red carpet. The hayrides from Stovall Alley to the Chenocetah Tower are special. Guests arriving to Chenocetah Tower will have the opportunity to get a tour of the tower by the U.S. Forestry Service. Chenocetah Tower, built by the Works Progress Administration in 1937 is a stonework of art you should visit.
Let’s remember to welcome our guests on Saturday and thank city workers for their efforts in hosting the festival. While visiting vendor booths also make sure to step inside local businesses in the area. It’s these local entrepreneurs who help give Cornelia its character and charm.
The vibrant background of a bustling downtown and fall weather will make for the perfect day.
See you in Cornelia on Saturday!
