To the editor: A few weeks ago, I read a story about Republicans. It said that 50 percent of Republicans support, or agree, that America should be a Christian Nationalist country. Marjorie Taylor Greene said, basically, the same thing. I was shocked.
America is plural. Freedom of faith is in our Constitution. We’re all equal before our God.
I wanted to know what my reps thought about this. I sent an email to both Sen. Hatchett and Rep. Anderson asking them what their view on the separation of church and state was, and, if they supported a move toward Christian Nationalism?
I have not heard one word from them. It’s been three weeks. When your representatives fail you, and are afraid to answer simple questions? We all lose faith in them. We all need to hear their answers.
