To the editor: I want to thank Bruce Hallowell, Jim Threlkeld, Melvin Coley, Bobby Clardy, and another or two whose names I do not recall for their superbly written, educational letters which I wish I were capable of writing. If only everyone who lives in Habersham County (or any place) would read them, I believe our country might stand a chance of surviving.
I always read Mr. Hallowell’s letters, and now we are fairly close neighbors in Habersham. I also read Mr. Threlkeld’s. My admiration for your knowledge and conservative opinions only grows, sirs.
By the way, Mr. C. has been so quiet lately. I can’t guess why because he got what he wanted. I feel sure he is enjoying driving his electric car to Clarkesville’s only grocery store to get his golden-priced groceries. What? Oh, surely he has an EV by now – got to so as to be a good Dem and they only cost about $60,000.
Lastly, I have long anguished over the millions of babies killed by abortion, some ready to be born. Pro-choicers feel they can do what they want with their own bodies – with that much I agree. If you want to kill your body, have at it.
But God’s little creation growing inside you is a separate human body. How can anyone with half a brain think it is her body?
I will always be confounded on this issue because it is absolutely a Satanic lie. And for abortion to be such a big issue on the ballot shows what our nation has become.
Thank you,
Wilma Scroggs Propes
