Fitness center is a big loss

To the editor: When I moved to Habersham County 17 years ago, I was an overweight person who had trouble carrying out many of the activities I wished to do. Somewhere along the way, someone suggested I attend the Fitness Center located in the Ruby Fulbright Center.

After a while, I decided I wanted to feel better and have more energy. When I finally went to the Fitness Center, I was greeted with a smile and started a plan to increase my health. It took a while, but it worked and yes, I do feel better and have more energy based on their plan as I have seen others experience.

There is quite a feeling of community there. Shutting down the Fitness Center may be a financial decision for the Hospital, but it is also a potential health hazard for many people of Habersham County.
