Forgiveness is who God is! It’s His nature. That’s what He does! He is willing and ready to forgive any iniquity, any rebellion, and any sin. He is a God of forgiveness.
Let’s begin with the God of forgiveness. God is a forgiving God. That is His nature. It is who He is. God wants us to really understand this and this is one reason why this truth is repeated over and over throughout Scripture.
First, God’s forgiveness is an expression of God’s love. God himself tells us in Exodus 34:7, “I lavish unfailing love to a thousand generations.”
Number two, God’s forgiveness is an expression of God’s grace. Nehemiah 9 tells us, “You are a God of forgiveness, gracious and merciful, slow to become angry, and rich in unfailing love”
Number three, God’s forgiveness is an expression of God’s mercy. we see it again in Nehemiah 9, “You are a God of forgiveness, gracious and merciful, slow to become angry, and rich in unfailing love”
Number four, God’s forgiveness is an expression of God’s generosity. In Romans 5 Paul refers to “God’s wonderful grace and his gift of forgiveness to many through Jesus Christ.”
Habersham community, Jesus love is anExpression of love, it doesn’t matter what you went through or going through God wants to express his love through your situation.
Expression of grace, where there is sin there is more abundant of grace;
Expression of MERCY, BLESSED he that is merciful he will reach mercy; Expression of God’s GENEROSITY, it’s a wonderful great gift of grace and a gift of forgiveness.
SO, if you are going through times that you need to forgive, just think of God’s great forgiveness.
