To the editor: I made the mistake of watching the news over the weekend ... in fact several times. It just doesn’t pay to do this on a regular basis because there is a sense of “Fairy Land” mentality in our media – TV, newspaper, magazines, etc. They have all swallowed the “Fairy Pill from Fairy Land.” I listened to an interview given by Joe Biden, and I could hardly believe how composed he was as he spoke of the many ways he is helping the American citizens (and his millions of illegals who arrived with no money expecting free everything).
Now, before you defend these illegals, I get it that there are people in this World who wish to come here for opportunities their country does not offer. That is certainly my heritage. But my ancestors came by ship with a paid invitation – it was not free. Before they could board the ship for Boston, they had to have enough money for a city lot (for a house) and a country lot (for growing food), plus ship bunk fare. Today you must fill out an application and wait your turn. This great country of ours is known for its generosity, and every year we allow a million immigrants to come to our shores. Obviously that is not enough for Joe!
So, just to get my head on straight, I sat down and made a list of the great opportunities we have to be thankful Joe’s name is on the Oval Office door.
· An estimated 4.9-5 million illegals have crossed our borders since Biden took office in January, 2021. Some of them have criminal records, and are causing mayhem in our Democrat controlled cities.
· Inflation caused by too much government money chasing not enough supplies of food, energy, etc. When the price of cattle feed and fertilizer for crops is up 20-30 percent, the farmers have a problem!
· Labor shortage at our piers is causing bare shelves in our stores. Ships are backed up for lack of labor at the docks. What?
· Stock market failures show a decline of 18 percent since January, 2022. Some of my losses are at 30 percent. (but who’s counting!).
· We have a shortage of fuel ... some of our gas and oil production has been shut down. That means we must buy fuel from Venezuela and Saudi Arabia. (Joe you are so good to us!)
· Joe’s pockets are filled with money from Russia and China that goes back to his days as Vice President.
· The next big item on Joe’s agenda is our currency. Rumor has it we will soon be using digital currency. How nice, the only problem with that is who decides the value of our dollar. Maybe that is where international affairs kicks in.
But the crowning event of the Biden administration is the ability to do evil, and blame it on the Republican Party. Everything is their fault. It’s called “holding up the mirror” so you are not blamed.
