To the editor: I lived in Habersham on and off from 1993 until 2015, and I just want to say now that I’ve moved away to Florida, I really miss the area restaurants that serve homemade biscuits. I miss the ones local to Habersham and also the chain restaurants with breakfast offerings featuring biscuits. I know I can’t name names, but one I really miss has a name related to cow milk products and a royal title given to female rulers.
I used to get biscuits every morning on my way to school at South Habersham Middle School with my dad and my best friend who rode to school with us, and then in high school at HCHS me and the same friend loved to skip first period and get biscuits. Those were some good days filled with delicious biscuits!
I just wanted to say I hope everyone in Habersham County appreciates all the amazing breakfast foods, particularly biscuits, that you have to choose from. I can’t wait to visit again soon so I can eat them!
