Keep fitness center open

To the editor:

Not having ever written a letter to the editor during my 94 years in Clarkesville, I believe now this is the time.

So for all those listening, regarding the Total Fitness closure, a simple solution to the hospital money concerns would be to transfer the unit to the recreation department, including personnel and equipment. This would keep a vital service available for the participants, many of whom are retired and seniors, as well as contribute to their overall health and happiness.

This cost would not break the county budget. I respectfully ask that all concerned should get together quickly and do it.

An alternative for the Total Fitness closing should be reached to benefit the community.
