To the editor: I am like all residents who are very concerned about the rising clouds of inflation and expenses this current incompetent leadership have already obligated us. I have written about SPLOST before and how it is used as a slush fund but really it is a tax that bad management can use as an oversight measurement i.e.: expensive pickle ball courts and dog walks for friends of a favorite lobbyist.
In times like these, we need to abolish foolish spending of tax money. We must vote out or question the influences of people who live on promoting new ways of spending such as Chairman Bruce Palmer and Wade Rhodes. We should focus on the common sense in Virginia Webb’s recent opposition to premature spending vs. necessary spending. See the article in The Northeast Georgian, on Oct. 5.
