Graveside services for Martha Ann Ledford Hazle, 83, of Clarkesville, were held Thursday, Aug. 25, at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church cemetery.
Mrs. Hazle went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, Aug. 22, 2022.
Born Feb. 26, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Howard Ledford and Eva May Hooper Ledford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Eugene Ledford and Larry Ledford; sisters, Helen Lewis, Carol Black, Katherine Ledford, Wanda Pittman, Brenda Smith, Liz Suggs, and Gail Stancil; and granddaughter, Sarah Burroughs.
Mrs. Hazle worked at Piedmont Automotive. She loved her family, enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls and reading her Bible, and loved flowers. Martha was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she was the choir director for a number of years. She loved to sing in the choir and with her family at church and she also sang in the choir at Lighthouse Baptist Church.
Survivors include her loving husband, Charles E. Hazle; sons and daughter-in-law, James Duane Hazle (Jean) of Bowman and Josh Hazle of Cornelia; daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie Erwin (Randall) of Clarkesville and Maranda Anderson (Joey) of Murrayville; brother, Howard Ledford Jr. of Hollywood; sister, Virginia Frankum of Clarkesville; grandchildren, Brandon Ivester and Jenna Hazle; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
