To the editor:
It has been but two days since it happened! Our lovely News Extravaganzas Are now talking about another mass shooting in Texas that happened yesterday. CNN and MSNBC are simply full of it today. (FOX, of course, has not been checked by me, since their last financial horror!) And, of interest, there have been no Republican comments on the news about this. Wonder why? It is apparent to me – there simply is not a single politician with the fortitude and intelligence to do anything about this horrible situation.
I have decided that, despite rallies, TV commentaries, other forms of verbal complaints or other rationale, the only way that this situation will actually be solved is at the polls. This is a Democratic country, and things are corrected here by votes (despite what the Trumpublicans say and do!).
So, I will only vote for whoever stands for and runs for firearms control. It is as simple as that. The candidate must vocalize his opposition to the current lack of gun control legislation in this country and espouses strong firearms control that will minimize or even eradicate this plethora of mass shootings and murders going on almost daily now. Let’s see who really can govern!
Sorry, Mr. Kemp. You had your chance and truly blew it!
