Problems with policy

To the editor:

Here we are in June, and my paperwork from 2022 is still waiting to be filed. Just too busy with “this/that.” And the problem with “this/that” is it sometimes gets you blacklisted by an organization you felt was your friend and protector. That’s been my thinking ever since I heard that our FBI/CIA can have access to all my personal data/checking account/religious affiliation, etc.

But what really puzzles me is I am just not that interesting…except for my political views.  Maybe that’s the key to all this contempt for personal freedom I am hearing on the daily news.

The Obama and Biden administration seem eager to change our path from democracy to socialism. Their individual years in office prove that this is an idea they cannot let die, and prove their point by continually bombarding us with their version of how this country must move forward. Here are the major points they push:

1. Redistribution of wealth created by a welfare state that controls our money (hard work doesn’t count);

2. School unions’ demand they control what is taught in our education system;

3. The idea that we think we have a right to free speech;

4. Attacking our First & Second Amendments rights - religious freedom and “the right to bear arms.”

5. Constant reminders that our country is “systemically racists.”

6. And the worst of all…our President allowing fentanyl to cross our borders with states’ inspection the only block before  distribution to our youth.

Some people, including me, are beginning to understand that “Sleepy Joe” is not running the White House. He is being propped up by a series of Democrats who are orchestrating the socialist agenda.

And they are eager to sell it to us. God help us to see their efforts for what they are. And, let’s make sure there are no “mystery voters” rising from the grave in 2024.

Freedom is what makes our country special, even great in the eyes of those living outside our realm.
