In this edition, you’ll find the 2021 Hello Habersham magazine tucked in with the inserts. Hello Habersham, is the guide to our community for locals and visitors. It is a special publication we publish each March in partnership with the Habersham Chamber of Commerce.

Cabin in Clarkesville reminds us of the humble beginnings of the citizens who laid the foundation of the great community we enjoy today. Nestled into our climate-controlled homes with running water and WiFi, it’s hard to imagine what it was like living here in the early 1800s. However, in those hardscrabble times Mr. and Mrs. Haywood English raised three sons and a daughter in the Big Holly Cabin.
This edition of Hello Habersham is filled with many of the reasons we’re all happy to call this community home. From the giant leaps of progress in downtown Cornelia to the continued success of Clarkesville’s downtown there are stories and information about all of our seven municipalities. And the education opportunities in our community are excellent for our youth and adults. Did you know a Boys and Girls Club is coming to Mt. Airy? Or, that Piedmont College is becoming a university next week? Those stories and many more are featured in this edition.
We consider it an honor and privilege to produce this annual guide to our community. We appreciate our partners who allow us to produce this magazine and you our loyal readers.
Our community offers a lifestyle and supportive business environment that’s on the 50-yard line of the good life! And we’re proud to build from scratch a newspaper each week to serve the place we call home for the last 129 years. However, when we can include a magazine like Hello Habersham celebrating our community it makes it an extra special edition.
