The Lady Raiders softball team won 10-0 in dominating fashion over region rival Shiloh on Tuesday night, boosting their record to 8-5 and 3-2 in region play.
Habersham Central’s offense was on fire from the first pitch. After three singles, a walk and a hit batter all in the first inning, they knocked Shiloh’s starting pitcher out of the game before she could even record two outs.
Starting pitcher Hailey Wade dominated the Generals batting order, striking out 9 batters and only allowing one hit.
Emma Forrester had a game-high four RBIs on three singles. Taylor Wade had three hits and one RBI, Hailey Wade had two hits and two RBIs, and Bailey Barfield added two hits.
BULLDOGGS 5, RAIDERS 0.
The Raiders were shutout by the Winder-Barrow Bulldoggs Thursday night, losing 5-0. Habersham Central tallied three hits on the night thanks to singles from Kelsey Banks and Hailey Wade, and a double from Emma Forrester.
Their next game is away against the powerhouse Buford Wolves on Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 5 p.m.
