Data from the Georgia Milestones Tests, an assessment program intended to gauge students’ academic performance, shows test scores have declined not just in Habersham County but statewide following disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jack is Gretchen Hilderhoff’s toy Australian shepherd. She’s owned him for about a year-and-a-half after he was retired from a stud by his previous owner. Hilderhoff described Jack as a somewhat timid animal.

Baldwin votes for millage rollback

Baldwin City Councilmembers voted unanimously to rollback the city’s millage rate Monday following weeks of discussion on the matter. The rollback effectively sets Baldwin’s millage rate to 6.793 mills, resulting in ​​a year-over-year increase of $37,739.

School board considers sick leave policy for classified staff
