Divine inspiration

   Kenneth Adams takes inspiration for his mesmerizing wooden art from Christ.    His side hobby, which has become a company at local festivals and art shows, has become a business entitled Glory To God (GTG) Woodcraft, where Adams gives all credit to God for the works that come from his table.

Cities debate fire merger with county

   Discussions got heated last week when city and county leaders met about fire services.    Cities in Habersham County are weighing their options to consolidate their fire departments into the county’s fire system.

Cornelia debuts new Christmas decor

   As Thanksgiving ends, the Christmas season is in full swing. The City of Cornelia is marking the holiday season with a host of new festive displays downtown and in its Christmas Lights Spectacular at Cornelia City Park.

Gym owner: Bid is fair

   The gymnastics program provided by Habersham County Parks and Recreation Department continues to be a point of contention after a Cleveland-based gym expressed interest in taking over the program last week.

Turkey Trot for a good cause

   BSG Coffee and Elite Recovery hosted a Turkey Trot on Saturday to benefit the local Kiwanis Club.    The event started with a Jazzercise warm-up at First Baptist Church in Cornelia, along with BSG-made coffee to warm up the runners on the cold morning.

County holds Farm City Breakfast today

Superior court judge denies bail for Rivera-Sanchez

   Angel DeJesus Rivera-Sanchez was denied bond for the alleged kidnapping and murder of 25-year-old Minelys Zoe Rodriguez-Ramirez in late October.    Rodriguez-Ramirez was last seen at Walmart in Cornelia around 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 22. After being reported missing on Oct.
