Inmate allegedly poisons 10 others

An inmate at the Habersham County Detention Center is facing new charges after allegedly poisoning 10 of her fellow inmates. Around 7 p.m. Monday, six female inmates of the Habersham County Jail showed signs of lethargy and extreme illness.

Mass vax site closes after nearly 60K shots

County continues inland port study

A group of local officials took a second field trip to learn about the future economic impact of the Northeast Georgia inland port. The group traveled to Murray County on May 17 to study their port, which has been up and running for around two years now.
