Missing girl found in Austin, Texas

Jaylei Smith, the missing girl from Tennessee who was last seen in Clarkesville 10 days ago, was found safe late Wednesday night in Austin, Texas. Smith, 13, was seen in a surveillance photo from a Clarkesville gas station with a 21-year-old man who was with her.

Appletree Alley nearing completion

Appletree Alley’s facelift in Cornelia is almost done. City Manager Donald Anderson said the project should finish up in the next week or two, despite being slightly delayed by rainfall a couple of weeks ago. Discussions about the $1 million streetscape construction project began in 2013.

Still no update on missing Tennessee girl

Jaylei Smith, the 13-year-old Tennessee native who disappeared with a Clarkesville man last week, still has not been found.
