Tallulah Falls’ varsity baseball team scored in every frame on Tuesday at home against Barrow Arts & Sciences Academy, winning 10-0 in a one-hit shutout.
Frankey Moree and Rohajae Pinder both had 3-hit games, and Danny Grant added 2 as the TFS offense generated 11 hits. BJ Carver, Davante Brown, and Dylan Brooks all had 2 RBI apiece. Pinder threw a complete game one-hitter, striking out 8 batters while walking just a pair.
Carver and Pinder got the Indians rolling with RBI singles in the first. Single runs in the second, third, and fourth made it 5-0 in favor of TFS. A 3-run fifth included RBI hits by Moree and Brooks. Brown singled home a run in the sixth to push it to 9-0, and TFS scored once more to end the contest.
The Indians moved to 7-9 overall and are now 4-3 in region play.
Greene hurls no-hitter for MS
In the home finale for the MS Indians on Monday against Rabun Gap, TFS won 15-0 while Jack Greene tossed a 4-inning no-hitter with 9 strikeouts.
The Indians raced out to a 5-0 lead after the first, and ended up with 15 runs on just 5 hits. 13 walks caused plenty of damage for Rabun Gap.
Drew Barron and Greene both had RBI doubles in the opening frame. After grabbing another run in the third, TFS ended the game with a 9-run fourth in which Ryder Cantrell doubled in a pair and Garrett Dorsey had a 2-run single.
The Indians ended a two-game slide and advance to 3-4 on the season.
