Back on the road, back on top

David Turner of Clarkesville won the 80-plus division at the USATF 5K National Road Championship in Atlanta last month. The race was run in conjunction with the Publix Marathon. Turner had a hip replacement 11 months ago and got back into his passion for running in a big way with the win. Turner closed a 25-yard gap on a long uphill in the final three-tenths of a mile in the race against a runner from
Florida to secure the victory.
