Clarkesville wrestlers going national

On Feb. 18, eight wrestlers from Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School went to the NCISAA State Championship at Providence Day. Six of the eight Eagle athletes placed at the tournament.

Clay Unruh of Clarkesville (middle, holding plaque and poster) won a state championship and Fisher Bejnerowicz (third from left with medal) was the runner-up to an All-American wrestler. Cash Unruh  of Clarkesville (behind Clay's left shoulder) took fifth place. Clay Unruh and Bejnerowicz will compete at the National Prep Wrestling Championship in Maryland on Feb. 25.
