Habersham volleyball splits Tuesday night region matches

In two region matchups Tuesday night, Sept. 22, the Lady Raiders split games against two teams on opposite ends of the Region 8-6A standings.

Facing the 33-6 Dacula Falcons in the first match, Habersham Central lost in straight sets, losing both sets by a score of 25-17.

In the second match against a winless Central Gwinnett Black Knights team, the Lady Raiders won in straight sets. In the first set, they won by a score of 25-11, and won in the second set 25-10.

After the split, Habersham’s record sits at 15-7 overall and 3-1 in region play.

 

Hart County 2, Habersham Central 1

In a close 3-set match, the Lady Raiders lost 2-1 to Hart County. After losing 25-18 in the first match, they battled back to win the second, 25-20. In the deciding third set, the Raiders lost 15-12.

Habersham Central 2, Rabun Gap 0

In the second match of the night, the Lady Raiders dominated Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School 25-11 in the first set and 25-7 in the second set.

 

Their next games are Saturday, Sept. 25, against Jackson County and Athens Academy in Gainesville.
