Tallulah Falls’ top runner Miranda Chapa led the Lady Indians to a 15th place finish out of 21 scoring varsity teams at the Flying Biscuit Cafe meet at North Oconee on Sept. 1.
Chapa placed 54th of 156 female harriers. Ellesen Eubank, in her first year of traipsing through the woods and trails of 5K courses, followed less than a minute later.

Allison Bailey, Kate Trotter, Meredith Orr, Serenity Miracle, and Lucia Fano Mateos ran their season best 3K times on the JV course. Sandra Badia Cester was the second TFS JV runner across the finish line in a near PR, scoring in the top 25 percent of the race to help TFS place sixth of 13 teams.
Timothy Beck skedaddled his way to a personal best (19:16.25) and 47th varsity place on the fast, flattish foresty 5K path. Peers Canon Brooks and Jackson Shadburn finished out the varsity runners.
Newcomer Milos Ivancevic cut off 42 seconds in the 3K race as Tallulah Falls’ top JV runner to cross in 15th of 219 racers. Jorge Lantero de la Osa followed within eyesight. Carter Miller, Blair Moore, Eli Damron, and Jedd Thomas all ran their season best 3k times. TFS finished seventh of 15 scoring JV teams.
