Victim seen in dollar store before murder

Deborah Collier was seen at a store in Clayton less than 20 hours before she was murdered. Collier, who was found dead in a wooded area near Tallulah Falls on Sept. 11, was spotted by camera footage at the Family Dollar Store in Clayton around 3 p.m. Sept. 10.

Crisis intervention group gets new leader

Jen Tarnowski is set to take on a new role as executive director of Rape Response by the end of the week, though her past experience had long prepared her for executing the organization’s mission as she’s come up through the ranks.

Baldwin promises fun fall festival

Officials with the City of Baldwin have been on a mission to promote the latest coming of their annual Fall Festival, which this year they hope to be bigger and better than even the one that saw a robust turnout last year.

Delicious time for a festival

The City of Cornelia is preparing for its most anticipated event of the year – The Big Red Apple Festival, which will be celebrating its 34th year on Saturday. The festival is gearing up to be bigger and better than last year’s celebration, which drew in more than 4,000 people.
