   Sidewalks were the first question addressed for the Concerned Citizens of Demorest Inc. (CCD) during the Demorest City Council Tuesday night meeting. Throughout the night, planning sidewalk repairs in the future were brought up.

   An 11-month joint investigation by local, state and federal officials yielded the arrest of 48 men and women and the seizure of 50 kilograms of methamphetamine and a half-kilogram of heroin worth $705,000 Thursday.

   UPDATE: The women were just located at a store in White County and were taken back to the Emergency Services Command Post. Initial reports are they may have become lost and slept in a field overnight but both appear to be OK.     Around 2:45 a.m.
