City Manager Mark Musselwhite said Tuesday that the hot weather has led to massive increases in water usage during June.

Piedmont’s Silas Mulligan began playing the game of basketball as so many youths in Habersham County do – through the rec department. Driven by seeing his older brother excel athletically, Mulligan then became a great young player in his own right at Cornelia’s Fairview Elementary School.

‘Worldwide’ prayers bolster church after tragedy

The River Point Community Church is pulling together to heal after an alleged DUI driver crashed into their church van and sent seven children to various hospitals Saturday.

Burglary suspect nabbed, replaced by masked man

Cornelia Police identified and arrested the burglary suspect they were after last week, but another suspect is now being sought after a break-in happened over the weekend.
Chance Lamar Hess, 25, of Cornelia was arrested and charged in the burglary at Sugartopia.
