The Republican primary for the Georgia Senate seat in District 50 is going to a wild one.
Three new GOP candidates joined the fray Thursday seeking the seat vacated by Georgia Sen. John Wilkinson, who is running for Congress in the 9th District.

Community members donned their best derby wardrobe for Habersham County United Way’s second annual “Night at the Derby” Saturday at the Cornelia Community House. HCUW Board President Heather Sinyard said at least $27,000 was raised for the horse-racing themed event.
