Habitat for Humanity helps another family find its home

Habitat for Humanity of Northeast Georgia has a history of giving back to the community. Opening its doors in 1985, the organization was able to build and dedicate its first house a year later. Since then, it has built and dedicated 74 homes to families who need them.

County faces difficult trash talk

School bus drivers, SROs train in scenarios

Habersham County Sheriff’s Office hosted training for school bus drivers and school resource officers (SROs) on Wednesday and Thursday to prepare them for various emergency scenarios. “We did a little presentation on procedures, and then we went through some what-if scenarios,” said Lt.

Report casts tax office in poor light
