    Funeral Services for Bennie Smith, 87, of Clarkesville, were held Monday, Sept. 20, at Hillside Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Austin Kelley officiating. Interment followed the service in Hillside Gardens.     Mr. Smith died peacefully Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021.

Tommie Joe Rice

   A celebration of life for Tommie Joe Rice, 73, of Lula, will be held at a later date in Anderson Flat Cemetery, St. Joe, Arkansas.   Mr. Rice died Sept. 14, 2021.   Born Dec. 18, 1947, in Hampton, Arkansas (Marion Co.) he was the sone of the late Garland Francis and Alta Etta (Marshall) Rice.

Edna Lois Allen Black

   Edna Lois Allen Black, 88, of Gainesville, formerly of Demorest, will be laid to rest following a private family Celebration of Life service. Inurnment will be at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Clarkesville beside her beloved husband of 65 years.   Mrs. Black passed away Friday, Sept.

   Funeral services for Geraldine Rebecca McElhannon Hart, 78, of Cornelia, were held Tuesday, Sept. 21, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Kevin Hart and the Rev. Terry Benfield officiating. Interment followed in Level Grove Cemetery.   Mrs. Hart passed away on Friday, Sept. 17, 2021.
