   Locke Arnold cannot even remember how many times he has run for District 5 commissioner, but he will not stop trying to get his message out to the people.    “We have problems,” Arnold said. “We spend too much money that we don’t have. We just raised taxes. We are hiring too many people.

COUNTY COMMISSION DISTRICT 5: Akins running again to finish projects

   Ty Akins is in his second year as chairman of the Habersham County Board of Commissioners, but he is hoping to serve one full term representing District 5.    “I didn’t do a full term to begin with, and I would like to serve one full term,” Akins said.

Forum brings candidates to the people as early voting dawns

District 4 County Commissioner candidates Bruce Harkness and Wade Rhodes were so excited to talk to the people Tuesday night that they often blew through the red light.
