   Habersham County got two new female mayors to highlight Tuesday's municipal election results.    Stephanie Almagno officially will move from the council to the mayor's seat in Baldwin, defeating challenger Tom Whitney with 63 percent of the vote. Patricia Gail Armour unseated P.J.

Raiders face Shiloh for all the marbles

   Habersham Central’s roller coaster regular season has one last stop as the Raiders travel to Snellville with hopes of heading home with a playoff reservation if they can knock off Shiloh.    The region’s top three spots have been claimed, but the fourth and final spot is still up for grabs.

   When Kelsie Hanley was in eighth grade at North Habersham Middle School, she began her career with the National FFA Organization. Hanley, who is now 20 years old, is set to receive her American FFA Degree, the highest honor a member can earn.

   The Habersham County Airport Commission is working on the specifics of a Request for Proposal (RFP) that would enable new T-hangars to be built at the airport by private investors, theoretically at no cost to the county.    “They would have to build the hangars to our specifications.
