   The late Dr. Thomas L. Hodges Jr. was a beloved physician who lived a long life full of adventure and service to the Habersham County community he loved.    Hodges was born Jan. 3, 1925, and he died Dec. 15, 2020. He served in the U.S.

   Tallulah Falls’ girls kept their strong recent play going Tuesday night with an 83-52 blowout win of North Hall.    The Lady Indians pulled off a comeback in the second quarter after being down six points in the first.

   Joshua Pickett has been locked in on continuing his football career and education at Duke University for a while. On Wednesday, he signed on the dotted line to make it official in front of friends, coaches, teachers and teammates at Habersham Central High School.

   A non-profit telecommunications start-up in Connecticut sent 136 unsolicited absentee ballot applications to the Habersham County Jail on Dec. 7.    Voters only receive absentee ballot applications from the elections office if they ask for one.
