   In a crowded Republican field that included a majority of Habersham County candidates, Bo Hatchett rode his home county to a spot in the Aug. 11 runoff election for District 50 Senator.

   Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said Monday he was expecting upwards of 250,000 to 400,000 voters to turn out across the state, spurring long lines as polling places space people six feet apart, take time to clean voting areas and use fewer voting machines to limit capacity.

   The votes from Tuesday's primary for Habersham County were released at 12:30 a.m.    Sheriff Joey Terrell (6,567) was re-elected over challenger Sam Jones (3,530).     In District 1, Bruce Palmer (4,027) will be in a runoff with Jeffery Lunsford (3,902) as Benny Pate (817) fell behind.
