School system looks to the future

Mrs. Denise Rogers’ first grade class waited somewhat patiently, somewhat anxiously Wednesday afternoon for the construction workers at Clarkesville Elementary to build them a pathway to their playground.

Leaders working on courthouse plan

After a 10-year wait for a clear plan to emerge, Habersham County has partnered with the City of Clarkesville and the Development Authority to develop the old courthouse property.

Love moves across the pond

Over the weekend Macy Sirmans, a Habersham native turned London local, said, “I do,” to her husband Francis in the couple’s very own “royal wedding.” As COVID-19 destroyed the idea of normal for many, right before the world stopped turning the two were able to meet in a nightclub in London.

Lady Indians take one out of three to open season

Tallulah Falls’ volleyball team played some tough opponents in the season-opening quad match on Tuesday at North Forsyth, winning one out of three matches. The Lady Indians (1-2) fell to powerhouse teams North Forsyth and Westminster, but got a win over a solid Dawson County team.
