Family Resource Center shows its worth to public

On any other day, the doors of Family Resource Center of Northeast Georgia’s (FRC) visitation center remain locked to protect the most vulnerable members of the community.

Demorest’s purchase includes extra park

Demorest could have even grander plans for its new city hall property than just administrative offices. The property purchased by the Demorest Downtown Development Authority (DDA) this week for $999,995 not only includes the old Demorest Elementary building, but Brent Lee Moore Park behind it.

Building from the top down

Just after 3 p.m. Monday, County Manager Alicia Vaughn was standing in a hallway of the county administration building. She was bantering with a group of employees and one of their small dogs, bending to pet a “frug” – a blend between a French bulldog and a pug.
