Lisa Reiss loves to teach at Habersham Medical Center. In fact, it’s her favorite part of her job. For 12 years, she has been educating and caring for patients as the program coordinator for HMC’s cardiac and pulmonary rehab program.

Radio icon Billy Burrell celebrates 90th birthday with community

For seven decades, Billy Burrell has been pastor and friend to everyone in Northeast Georgia, whether they know it or not.

Habersham County looking for ways to pay for new jail

Habersham County’s Board of Commissioners reopened discussions Monday to try and find a way to build a new jail for the county.
Plans for the much-needed facility have been stagnant since the bond referendum was voted down in November by 8% of the county’s registered voters.
