Soup kitchen volunteers still helping in time of great need

   There has never been a more uncertain time for folks wondering when their next paycheck or meal will come. As such, the volunteers at the Habersham Soup Kitchen will not let the current adversity keep them from helping those in need.    The soup kitchen is serving meals from 11:30 a.m.

   A vehicle fire in Clarkesville on Thursday has been ruled as arson by the Georgia Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner’s Office. Investigators determined that the fire that engulfed a 2019 Jeep Compass in Habersham County was intentionally set. The fire occurred shortly after 7 a.m.
